Dar Doughri is a beautifully decorated holiday home in a quiet and pedestrianized area of Essaouira equipped with everything our guests need for a short or long-term holiday stay. The Dar is a short walk from the crescent shaped beach, bustling Medina (walled town), restaurants and cafes, and swimming pools of Essaouira.
The house has 4 comfortable bedrooms for 2 - 8 guests and is for our guests exclusive use. There are 2 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms and each bedroom has private or an en-suite bathroom. The large salon with open wood fire is cosy in winter, light and airy in summer. The kitchen/breakfast room is fully equipped for Karima to cook, or teach, our guests delicious traditional tagines from our in house menu. The spacious, private roof terrace with panoramic views of Essaouira is the perfect spot for rest and relaxation.
All our guests are welcomed, and looked after for the duration of their holiday, by Fouad, our house manager and Karima, our housekeeper and fabulous cook. We have a house menu of traditional breakfasts and dinners prepared using local produce that can be cooked to order for our guests. Babysitting is also available on request. Our guests do not need a car during their stay and transport is included in all out of town excursions.
The UNESCO World Heritage site town of Essaouira is 21/2 hour drive west of Marrakech and north of Agadir.
Family and adventure activities on offer in Essaouira include camel riding, dune buggies, trekking, surfing, swimming, tennis, sailing, cycling, fishing, horse riding, wind-surfing, mountain biking.
